"16 Shades of Beige" is designed to be played on 16 separate devices simultaneously. For the best results, download each track onto a different device, (i.e. phone, iPad, iPod, etc). Get all devices paused at 00:00, then have someone count off, (a five count seems to work best), so that all participating parties can hit "play" at the exact same time. You will hear all discs say, "16 Shades of Beige," then each individual source will list its specified track number, (i.e. "1," "2," etc). If one or more of the devices does not appear to be in sync at the top of the piece, reset all devices to 00:00 and try again. Though we doubt anyone will ever hear this piece in its intended form, it is designed so that only a few devices are required in order to get the ambient, surround-sound effect of the piece. Track 17 is simply a two-track stereo mix of the piece so you can listen on just one device if you so desire, (though not recommended).
